Meet the Chef

Chef Johnny went to Johnson & Wales University in Denver, CO where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service Management. Seeking to further his education, he moved to France and worked in his first Michelin Star awarded restaurant. Upon returning to the United States, he moved to San Francisco and continued working in Michelin Star awarded establishments. After years in San Francisco, Johnny moved to Portland, OR. Periodically visiting his family in Santa Barbara, Johnny found a lack of quality food that could be custom tailored and delivered. He found his niche! He moved back to Santa Barbara and started Semi Private Chef in the summer of 2016. Since then he has delivered over 10,000 meals to Santa Barbara residents!

Johnny is a part of every dish that goes out and oversees every item that comes into his kitchen. He is the driving force behind the business and loves what he does!
