Cancellation Policy and Other Information for Cooking Classes
If you need to cancel your registration outside of 7 days of the class, we are happy to issue a full refund. Please notify us of your cancellation via email. If you need to cancel within 7 days, a class credit will be issued. If you have to cancel within 48 hours of the class, unfortunately no class credit will be issued, as we will have purchased food and contracted staff accordingly, however you are welcome to send someone in your place.
Should we unfortunately need to cancel or reschedule a class for any reason, a full refund will be offered, as well as the opportunity to switch to a different class or carry a class credit if preferred.
In the event of inclement weather or natural disaster, if we feel that our staff and students cannot get to and from the school safely, we will cancel the class notifying you via email, and offer a full refund, class credit or arrange a rescheduled date. Please use a current working email address in your registration to ensure efficient communication if and when needed.
Please alert your chef to any severe allergies on arrival. We strive to accommodate any requirements you may have, and, where possible, we will swap out ingredients for you, however this is not a guarantee and there may be certain dishes that you cannot eat. We are happy to offer you options and ideas on how to adapt the recipes when you reproduce them. Gift certificates can be used for any of our classes; however the classes fill up quickly so we recommend advance registration. Purchasing a (or having received a gift) voucher does not guarantee you a seat in any class. You must call or email to confirm your seat.
Meal Delivery Cancellation Policy and Other Information
1.) We encourage clients to choose at least one set delivery day for each week. This will guarantee that we procure enough produce from the farmer’s market as well as ensure minimal waste. We are very conscious of how much produce we purchase from the market and always try to give abundant portion sizes to all clients for each item while remaining environmentally conscious. With a guarantee of at least one delivery day per week, we can confidently purchase the correct amount of product for all.
In addition, commitment to set delivery days enable better delivery times. Short notice requests put a strain on time management primarily because vendors are not very fast with requests for product for same day delivery. We have no problem preparing and delivering a meal on short notice, but it is hard to make sure that we will have a high quality product available as advertised without prior notice.
2.) Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled delivery. If the cancellation is not made within that time, we will charge for the ingredients purchased for the meal as well as a 15% service charge. Again, this is to minimize waste as we do not sell product that has already been prepared for a client who no longer is taking a delivery.
3.) Please be aware that when something is cooked and delivered, the shelf life is five days. Some items may last longer than five days but we have cooked your food the day it was delivered with no preservatives. Once you have the food, please discard old product as it has the possibility of causing foodborne illness. Again, we utilize classic cooking methods and do not add ingredients or chemicals that promote extended shelf life.
4.) Invoices are sent bi-weekly and prompt payment is always appreciated. After 30 days of non-payment, we will impose a late fee of 9% on all outstanding payments over the 30-day mark.
